Accommodation at Villa Taman Ahimsa Bali
Every bedroom at Villa Taman Ahimsa has a colour theme that relates to one of the Hindu chakras. Each bedroom is circular; fully-air conditioned and furnished with a king-size four-poster bed draped in snowy white fabric, a small desk, and comfortable rattan chairs. They are all equipped with safety deposit boxes for your special valuables, a Wi-Fi internet connection and en-suite bathrooms. Rich, dark hardwood floors are in every room while the bedrooms on the ground floor feature high, vaulted ceilings and the two on the second floor have bamboo balconies. The two second floor bedrooms are connected via a bamboo bridge. All of the ground floor bedrooms are small, private pavilions dotting the grounds of Villa Taman Ahimsa.
The en-suite bathrooms include rain showers, and stone bathtubs within partially open-air sections of the room separated from the main garden by stone walls. This offers a unique bathing experience under the sun or stars and surrounded by bright green flora growing inside the walls. Stone washbasins and wooden vanities add to the rustic décor.
Dining at Villa Taman Ahimsa Bali is bursting with colors and flavours. Sitting around a massive teakwood table that can accommodate 16 guests atop sandy-coloured chairs in an area that offers stunning views of the gardens scented with sweet smelling frangipani trees is an experience to savour. In the evening, this area is softly lit with pendulum lamps hanging from the soaring timber roof. With a fully equipped, modern kitchen at his disposal, the villa’s private chef will whip up something delicious to wow your taste buds.
He is highly-skilled in the creation of cuisines ranging the gamut from East to West so whatever your flavour preference, he’s sure to please. Try some tasty local seafood spiced in Balinese style for a cultural culinary experience. If you should have a special dietary request, simply inform the chef in advance so that he may accomplish the necessary shopping. He’ll be happy to tailor a meal to suit your needs.
There are two types of living areas at Taman Ahimsa Bali, one that is entirely open-air and one with an alang-alang thatched roof, natural grass-made roof material normally seen in natural-styled Bali villas. The upstairs, open-air living area is furnished with daybeds while the downstairs one boasts a long table fashioned from an old boat, couches, and an old, gnarled frangipani tree growing up through the floor.
The media room is characterised by dark hardwood floors, a long rattan purple cushioned couch and decorated with traditional Balinese shadow puppets. This area features an LCD TV and DVD player and a selection of DVDs are provided if guests wish to relax to a good film.
The enormous 18 meter swimming pool is surrounded by relaxation bales with daybeds and blessed with gorgeous ocean views. A dip in its crystal blue waters is ideal day or night and it’s even large enough to get some real exercise with a few laps. The pool is bordered by a wooden deck furnished with sun loungers; a perfect spot for working on your tan or just relaxing under an umbrella. There is also a poolside dining pavilion with a table that can seat 16 guests. This alfresco dining area is excellent for a calm, meditative breakfast, afternoon tea or a barbecue.
