Accommodation at Villa Batavia Bali

Villa Batavia Bali contains 5 majestic air-conditioned bedrooms, each with gorgeous teakwood, four poster beds draped in elegant snow-white mosquito netting. Rich, hardwood floors adorn the rooms and colonial-style shuttered windows open to allow staggering amounts of Balinese sun rush in. Each bedroom comes equipped with a TV and DVD player, a safe deposit box to keep your valuables secure, an iPod docking station, and its own mini fridge. Accessing the internet is easy and simple as Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

The master bedrooms are situated in their own wing of the villa, one upstairs and one on the ground floor. The upstairs suite features a wide veranda, accessed through shuttered doors, with a table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Smooth timber floors, a king-size bed, an adjacent study room and lavish en-suite bathroom complete the arrangement. The bathroom includes a copper bathtub and elegant cream-coloured sinks with timber flooring and non-slip marble floors in the shower area. The downstairs master bedroom has its own veranda with pillars lining the front and a bathroom in the garden with an open-air shower and its own copper bathtub.

The guest wing of the villa houses two magnificent bedrooms complete with en-suite bathrooms. These bedrooms have sophisticated four poster beds hardwood floors and stylish furnishings. One of the guest bathrooms features an open-air shower for a unique experience bathing under the stars while the other is decorated with a beautiful stained glass window.

A third bedroom on the ground floor has two twin beds, perfect for children, yet this room doesn’t skimp on luxury. It has an en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and marble floors. Ample sunlight brightens this room through its colonial-style windows and highlights the colourful depth of the hardwood flooring in the bedroom.

The villa is made up of three separate buildings connected to each other by a pergola roof and a beautiful black and white checkered hallway. Through these, you can find your way to the fantastically graceful living and dining areas, which are located on the top floor of one of the buildings.

The dining room welcomes you to its cool marble floors, teakwood table and opulent silver-plated utensils where you and your guests can dine in luxury. This and the living area are practically surrounded with large shuttered windows that open to amazing views of the immaculate grounds and the adjacent neighbourhood. A night spent dining or lounging on one of the thick cushioned sofas chatting with friends is made all the merrier with the cool tropical breezes that waft through the space via the windows. Recline to an entertaining film viewed on the big screen LCD TV and DVD player placed in the living room for your convenience.

The villa chef will be happy to create any special meal you desire to make your experience as memorable as possible. He is highly-skilled in Indonesian, Western and Asian cuisines and is capable of whipping up a flavour to satisfy even the most discriminating palates. The chef is also responsible for the shopping, so if you have a dietary requirement for your meals, just give him a little advance notice and he’ll ensure that’s taken care of.

Villa Batavia Bali even has its own cocktail bar, where style and class reign. This room has window views of the garden, cushioned bar stools, a soft upholstered couch, and hardwood floors and is fully air conditioned. There is also an extensive list of fine wines to choose from, making this spot ideal for an afternoon cocktail or just an evening glass of red.

The manicured garden includes the 18 meter freeform swimming pool. A soothing dip is the perfect way to cool off during the day and when you’re done, relax and get some sun on one of the surrounding sun loungers. Nearby, is a pool specifically for the children so the adults can cool off in peace. Just off to the side is the villa’s very own waterfall with a traditional relaxation bale just beside it. All of this incredible beauty produces the ideal scenery for romantic candlelight dinners or even midday massages, both of which can be arranged by the staff should you wish.

Location

Villa Batavia Bali is located in the heart of Seminyak, Bali’s fashionable and cosmopolitan enclave. Within walking distance to Petitenget beach, wide stretches of white sand and fine dining are yours to explore. World renowned restaurants are located on the beach like La Lucciola and KuDeTa, which caters to a chic and happening crowd and offers a unique and tasty grilled pineapple and black pepper martini.

For the shopaholics among you, this area is overflowing with fashionable boutiques like 2NDSkin and Mario Silver. If you’d like to purchase a local artefact for yourself or someone back home, the Folk Art Gallery is also in Seminyak, where you can peruse their collection of South East Asian art ranging from simple jewellery to large Burmese Buddhas.

Villa Batavia Bali is also within driving distance of some of the island’s most famous attractions. Make a pilgrimage to the mystical sea temple Pura Tanah Lot, which is still in use today. This striking temple perched on a craggy rock in the Indian Ocean is well-known for its incredible sunsets. It is also said to be guarded by a holy snake and drinkable holy water spews forth from its rocky base.
